The Wind in the Willows
Miniature study based on the classic novel "The Wind in the Willows". This miniature is modeled after the River Rat's riverside home in the story. All design and fabrication was carried out by Leela Hoerschelmann.
Lookbook
Base Structure carved from insulation foam
Built up sides of river with spray foam, joint compound on inside for muddy texture
Paper mache over whole structure to seal foam
Base paint layer over whole structure, followed by texture spray
Face of house made from stained balsa, wired throughout house with wire lights, added moss details around windows
Hand placed river rocks covered with a gallon of deep pour resin
